The Dark

When shattered dreams fall to the ground,
These broken peices all around,
When glorious plans proceed to fail,
Joy swept away by darker gale,
In that moment it is true,
The only hope I have is You.

What can I do, what words can say
A phrase to drive the dark away?
I rest on You, on You alone,
When hardships cause my soul to groan.
Though in this moment joy is gone,
‘Tis always dark before the dawn.

You revive my broken dreams,
My shattered bones mend at the seams.
What dark has shrowded you make light,
Your glory drives away the night.
When all around is only loss,
Victory comes through the cross.
